You must have noticed that glass utensils break after falling down, whereas metal utensils do not break, today we are going to tell the reason for this in this article.
Glass is made of amorphous material whose molecules are very loosely packed and there is some empty space between them. Which neither absorb nor give out energy. Whenever a glass of glass falls on the ground, after falling, its molecules are unable to rearrange themselves as before and break into separate pieces.
Whereas, on the contrary, the molecules of a metal or steel vessel are packed in a very regular way and there is no empty space in them. When they fall on the ground or on a solid material, their molecules automatically assume the same shape as before and do not break.
